Sports injuries

Having spent 16 years as Lead Physiotherapist for the MCC, Middlesex and Essex County Cricket Clubs, and 6 years as Club Physiotherapist for Wasps Rugby Club, James has a lot of experience with sports injuries. Since establishing his private practice in 1993 he has also consulted with many European Tour Golf players who have visited his clinic.

"I did not set out when I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1985 to work in sport. It just happened. I  initially wanted to compare the dressing room atmosphere of cricket with rugby where I was playing for Wasps. I was invited to come along to Lords to watch England train before a test match. I enjoyed it and went along to the match 3 days later and met the Lead Doctor for the MCC, who supported rugby, and after a chat he suggested I apply for a forthcoming post with the MCC. The rest is history as they say.
